GETTING STARTED
-
Postpartum support is practical, in-home help after you bring your baby home. It covers things like meal prep, laundry, light cleaning, and errands so you can focus on resting and recovering instead of running a household.
-
If you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or genuinely unsure how you will manage meals and daily life while recovering, support can make a real difference. Most families do not realize how much they need it until they are already in it. If you are asking the question, that is usually a good sign.
-
Many families book during pregnancy so everything is set up ahead of time. But it is just as common to reach out after you are home and things start to feel like a lot. Either way, we will work with your timeline.
-
Not exactly. Postpartum doulas often focus on infant care and guidance. We focus on supporting your home and your recovery, meals, home tasks, errands, and presence, so you can actually rest. We do not provide clinical or newborn care.
-
No, we also support those recovering from illnesses or from surgery, who may not be able to return to their daily routine right away.
We step in for those who need an extra pair of hands as they navigate recovery without help.
-
Visits are flexible and usually combine a few types of support depending on what you need most that day. This can include meal preparation, laundry, light cleaning, grocery runs, pharmacy trips, errands, accompanying you on walks, and transportation to essential appointments.
-
We are a non-clinical support service. Our focus is on you and your home during recovery. We do not provide newborn or infant care.
-
Visits start at a minimum of 3 hours.
Single visits can go up to 8 hours and can be split into two sessions if that works better for you. Plans typically include 3-hour visits twice a week, but hours and frequency can be increased based on your needs.
DURING VISITS
-
We serve families across Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Toronto and the GTA, Vaughan, and surrounding communities. If you are outside these areas, reach out and we will see what we can do.
-
Our services are not currently covered under OHIP or most private insurance plans. However, some health spending accounts or workplace wellness benefits may offer reimbursement. We recommend checking with your plan administrator before booking. We are actively working toward broader coverage options and will share updates as they come.
-
This is one of the most common reasons families come to us. We provide consistent, reliable support so you are not going through this alone. We will show up.
